Lesson Plans for the week of April 12th- 16th

We are finishing our unit on Financial Literacy this week! The students are learning how to write checks and use check registers.

Monday- Writing Checks (will probably have homework if they did not finish in class.

Tuesday- Checkbook Project- Day 1 (This will be done in class and is a test grade)

Wednesday- Checkbook Project- Day 2

Thursday- Numerical Representations Stations (We are officially done learning new content and will begin reviewing what we have learned this year.)

Friday- Numerical Representations Stations

Lesson Plans for the Week of April 5th- 9th

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter break! We are learning about financial literacy this week. The students are learning how to write checks and balance check registers. We are also discussing terminology such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, credit, and interest. Please feel free to have a conversation with your child on how debit cards, checking accounts and other type of banking situations work! They really enjoy learning about these things since it is something they have seen their parents do in every day life!

Monday- Easter break

Tuesday– Gimkit: Financial Literacy (Students had time to work on in class, but if they did not finish, they need to finish for homework. It is due Friday.)

Wednesday- Balancing a Check Register Stations Day 1 (Quiz grade)

Thursday- Balancing a Check Register Stations Day 2

Friday- Writing ChecksĀ  (Gimkit homework due)

We are wrapping up our unit on data and statistics this week! Our unit test will be on Thursday.

Monday- Histograms and Box Plots

Tuesday- Categorical Data and Percent Bar Graphs

Wednesday- Test Review

Thursday- TEST over data and statistics (mean, median, mode, range, box plots, stem-and-leaf plots, histograms, and dot plots)

We are wrapping up our Geometry unit this week and learning about how to find the volume of rectangular prisms.

Monday– Intro to How to Find the Volume of Rectangular Prisms (Day 1)

Tuesday– Practice with finding the volume of rectangular prisms (Day 2)

Wednesday– Scavenger Hunt Test Review. This test will cover area of rectangles, trapezoids, and triangles and the volume of rectangular prisms.

Thursday– Test

Friday– Catch up day

Hello all! We are trucking right along with geometry this week! Before the snow storm, we were learning about the angle relationships in a triangle. This week, we have picked back up with learning about area!

Monday- Area of Rectangles and Parallelograms

Tuesday- Area of Triangles (QR Geometry Scavenger Hunt)

Wednesday- Half day (Catch up day)

Thursday- Area of Trapezoid

Friday- Quiz: Area of Rectangles, Parallelograms, Triangles, and Trapezoids
